A popular pleasure lake, Lake One produces quality very mixed bags of fish species throughout the year, as with all the other lakes the water is very coloured, meaning fish can be caught very close in. This Lake is Heavily Stocked with carp to 26lb, tench (green and golden) to 4.5lb, roach to 1.5lb, bream & skimmers to 5lb, ide to 4lb, rudd to 1.5lb, barbel to 5.5lb, chub to 4lb, golden orfe to 3.5lb and lovely “buttery coloured” crucians to well over 2lb. Even occasional Eels can also show up. The weights of the barbel, chub and ide are increasing rapidly at the moment, so there is every chance you could catch a new record! Due to the large variety of swims Lake One suits all methods of coarse fishing used on still waters, particulary effective are float fished dog biscuits or bread in the summer months around the margins.
Features: Lake one contains three islands, the main water outlet for the complex and an old lake bed, as well as many reed beds, depths average 4-5ft.
